Technical and Support Team Responsibilities:
- Installing of the mail server software will all the latest patches updated on it
- Installing the AV software which will simultaneously support the mail server software with all the latest updates done on it
- Setting up the mail domain on the mail server
- Creating necessary entries to make the mail domain live
- Creating users, setting up passwords and forwarding it to the IT head
- Monitoring the server events (system and application) every hour to see if any errors are generated by mail software
- Monitoring mail logs for all the outgoing mails incoming mails on the server
- Creating mailing list as requested by the IT head of the domain
- Adding members to that mailing list
- Assigning only required rights to the users to post to the mailing list
- Enabling and disabling users on the request
- Incase if any users leaves the organization we change the password of that user and forward the emails of that user to different account as per the request.
- Assigning quota to the users if required
- If any users losses all the email from his outlook we restore it back from the backup if requested by the admin
- Any urgent logs which need to be traced out for any user on immediate basis can be done by us
- On request of IT head of the domain we can map the mail box of any specific user to his account
- Backup designing for the mail server
- Taking Regular backups of the mail server full and incremental
- Verifying the backup by restoring on an alternate location every week
- Taking the image of the server every week in case of DR we can restore the same on a different server
